Shia LaBeouf Parties Hard & Falls Hard in Love in 'American Honey'
And commits a couple crimes, for good measure.
Andrea Arnold’s American Honey earned rave reviews and a Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and now the film has a trailer to whet our appetites. The film tells the story of Jake (played by a rat-tailed Shia LaBeouf), who recruits a teenager named Star (Sasha Lane) into his crew of traveling salespeople. The two travel around America, partying and committing the occasional crime, falling in love along the way. The film was shot on location in the Midwestern United States and features a star-studded soundtrack: Kevin Gates, Fetty Wap, Bruce Springsteen and E-40 all have tracks on the OST; the trailer, meanwhile, features iLoveMakonnen and Raury.
The film is slated for a theatrical release sometime in the latter half of 2016. Check the trailer out above.
