Rapper Nas may not seem like one for nostalgia, but the hip-hop artist from Queensboro, New York has a soft spot for cult film Ghostbusters. The supernatural comedy made a strong impression on the rapper as a child, so much so that he decided to team up with five different labels to release Ghostbusters-branded gear in anticipation of the film’s all-female reboot this year. Working with New Era, FILA, Monster, eyewear brand Italia Independent and his own fashion label HSTRY, Nas has released a collection of apparel, caps, sunglasses, and tech gear that reference the iconic film’s characters and icons. Highlights of the collection include FILA sneakers with fluorescent green soles reminiscent of neon slime, as well as a HSTRY coach jacket featuring the infamous “no ghost” logo – a treat for all fans of the spooky classic.
