Step into Henrik Vibskov‘s SS17 show, and you’re greeted with a world of meat, baloney and salami. With a massive structure bearing your favorite cold cuts, the atmosphere is dark and gloomy and obviously a little disturbing. At the show’s core is meat, a jarring statement especially in a time when veganism and vegetarianism is at at all time high. Vibskov brings forth the crossroads between morals and desires and conflicting choices — the latest health trend or letting oneself go to hedonistic pleasures?
For the apparel, Vibskov takes from martial arts inspirations with its pattern cutting and shapes. There are Asian crests and iconography, balance and harmony reflected in the prints. He offers a range of eye-catching outerwear pieces, such as a jacquard knitted sweater with fringes and embroidery. Check out the collection above and let us know what you think in the comments below.
