Balmain 2017 Spring/Summer Collection
Doing the Canadian Tuxedo justice.

Balmain is easily one of the most highly-anticipated shows each season, with fans and critics alike tuned in to what Olivier Rousteing has up his sleeve. While he may be better known for his celebrity best friends (think the Kardashian clan) than his fashion designs, it’s no doubt that Rousteing makes trends. For Spring/Summer 2017, the designer did what he always does best — create eye-catching clothes, definitely not for the faint of heart. He manipulated denim into whole outfits, from bomber jackets, shorts to shirts. He created trench coats and even fused denim with other materials for novel pieces. Specializing in excess, Rousteing’s entire show (of 80 looks) also featured his women’s resort collection, and instead of his usual use of gold, he resorted to bright jewel tones throughout. Check out our favorite looks above and let us know what you think of the show below.
