Vans & Taka Hayashi Introduce the Buffalo Trail LX
Hayashi reimagines an archival Vans runner.
Long absent from the brand’s line-up, Vans’ old Serio — an archival runner that originally appeared in the early ’80s — is making a comeback for Summer 2016 thanks to designer Taka Hayashi. Joining Hayashi and Vans’ “Nomad” collection of Sk8-His and Slip-Ons, the brand new Buffalo Trail LX appears under the Vault imprint and combines the aforementioned Serio with Buffalo Boot cues for an entirely new silhouette. The result is decidedly clean and retro, not to mention luxurious thanks to leather, nubuck, and suede construction with a stacked leather wedge, EVA midsole and Vibram ripple outsole.
