Amazon Has Gained a New Competitor Thanks to Google Home

Google is ready to go head-to-head with Amazon’s Echo.

By //Tech

Google is joining the camp of competition by revealing a challenge to Amazon’s Echo with the Google Home device. Following up the Chromecast, VP of product management, Mario Queiroz, aims to move forward in regards to Google’s upcoming innovation. The small speaker easily plugs into an outlet and hosts far-field microphones that are able to hear your voice from across the room. Some of its features include answering questions, playing music and controlling other gadgets within the household.

Google Home also provides a simple look that is customizable via a selection of case shells to coincide with the look of one’s home. In addition, LED lights are present and consist of different patterns to let you know that the device is active. Google Home is designed with the idea of functioning in multiple rooms and providing quality sound.

There’s no official price or release date confirmed as of yet, but stick with us and we’ll make sure to provide updates upon availability. In the mean time, you can sign up for updates regarding the Home directly from Google here.
