#hypebeastkids: Nike Kobe 11 "Wolf Grey" Inspired by VHS Color Bars

Harking back to Kobe Bryant’s early days of watching recorded basketball games.

Nike unveils its latest Kobe 11 colorway, taking cues from Kobe Bryant’s days as a kid watching old school VHS tapes of basketball games sent by his grandfather. The design on the back of the shoe mirrors the SMPTE color bars used for testing and calibrating monitors often included at the beginning or end of these tapes. The sneaker features a Lunarlon midsole with Zoom Air technology for nonstop support, while the woven mesh upper comfortably molds to your foot. The Kobe 11 “Wolf Grey” will be available in grade school sizes at Nike starting Friday, May 27.
