Roald Dahl's 'The BFG' Trailer #2
For the ’80s babies.
From director Steven Spielberg and Disney comes the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic ’80s children book, The BFG (an initialism for Big Friendly Giant). The film closely follows the original storyline about 10-year-old girl Sophie (played by Ruby Barnhill), who encounters the beloved, big eared, 24-foot-tall giant (voiced by English actor Mark Rylance) with superhuman hearing abilities, incredible speed, and a keen sense of smell who distributes good dreams to children. After being taken from her London orphanage in the dead of the night, Sophie is brought to giant country where the two new friends try to thwart the plans of villainous giants Bloodbottler and Fleshlumpeater who are voiced by funnymen Bill Hader and Jemaine Clement, respectively. Riddled with fantasy, adventure and tons of CGI, The BFG looks like one interesting children’s book adaptation. Look out for the movie to hit theaters July 1.
