Exploring Levi's Vintage Clothing Sporting Archive and Restyling It for Today
Looking inward for inspiration.
Paul O’Neill, senior designer of Levi’s Vintage Clothing, takes us through the brand’s archive at its head office in San Francisco. As the brand has developed and changed with the times since 1873, it’s been able to curate a vast collection of old jeans, marketing materials, textile samples, packaging and more.
In the above video, O’Neill and archivist Anastasia Fink show us their approach to the Levi’s Vintage Clothing Spring 2016 collection, drawing inspiration from the internal employees’ baseball team, “Elesco” which dates back to 1880. Check out the clip for a more in-depth look.
