The swallow motif has been a recurring theme in Lee McQueen’s designs, having first appeared in his graduate show and the iconic spring/summer 1995 “The Birds” collection. Now, the emblem has been a strong icon of the McQ line over the past five years and for the relaunch of the brand, the motif has become a collection in its own right. Reimagined by artist Tom Tosseyn, the pieces take a literal interpretation of the word and plasters it all over the apparel.
