A Closer Look at the Primeknit-Constructed adidas Originals Very Spezial
The best of old and new.
The Spezial has long been one of the cleanest silhouettes from the Three Stripes and now adidas is looking to put a contemporary spin on the low-top classic with a Primeknit-constructed take on the shoe. First glimpsed late last year, the brand new design — officially dubbed the Very Spezial Primeknit — echoes the look of the original thanks to a gum rubber sole and a dual-colored knit to mimic the shoe’s OG paneling. The design even comes built atop a timeless gum sole while the elasticized collar is reminiscent of the NMD and upcoming “Uncaged” Ultra Boost releases. Very Spezial indeed.
The Very Spezial Primeknit’s debut Blue/Light Blue/Running White colorway is available now via Overkill while a grey make-up is sure to follow in the weeks ahead.
