Incredible Homemade Instrument Creates Music With 2,000 Marbles
A xylophone, bass, kick drum, vibraphone and guitar all mixed into one.
Swedish group Wintergatan flexes its musical talent to the next level with the Marble Machine, the band’s original creation. Completely built and composed by band member Martin Molin, the Marble Machine uses the continual motion of 2,000 marbles to power an organized chaos of 3,000 parts to make melodies. Powered by just one person, the contraption is capable of full band performances with its combination of xylophone, bass, kick drum, vibraphone, guitar and other instrument parts. Catch a first glimpse of the Marble Machine in the video above. Wintergatan plans to play live concerts starting Summer 2016.
