And the 24th richest billionaire overall.
Phil Knight, co-founder of Oregonian sportswear giant Nike, placed at #24 on Forbes‘ annual list of the world’s billionaires, with a net worth upwards of $24B USD. Despite stepping down as CEO of the Swoosh in June 2015, Knight is categorized under “Fashion & Retail” on Forbes‘ list, many of Knight’s contributions fall under the umbrella of the sports industry. This would make him the richest person involved with sports, worldwide.
