There are plenty of reasons why filmmakers might avoid using curse words in their scripts and movies: censors, studio pressures, a target audience’s age, or any combination of of the above; there are also plenty of ways to push the envelope while still keeping things safe and child-friendly. This cinematic supercut — put together by Burger Fiction — showcases the lexical lengths that films, such as Fantastic Mr. Fox, Almost Famous, Napoleon Dynamite and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, go to avoid using less-than-savory language because, as per the video’s description: ”When you wanna keep it PG, you gotta get creative.”
