Cult label WANT Les Essentiels has unveiled its footwear and accessories offerings for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. Taking inspiration from the Color Field painting movement of the ’40s and ’50s, twin brothers Byron and Dexter Pert translated the movement’s fixation with the power and tension between color and shape into a range of intelligent pieces that fuse bold, primary colors in painterly dots and stripes with neutral backgrounds. The collection also seeks to evoke the optimism of the Olympics in mirroring the colors of its five rings. Alongside artfully crafted totes, backpacks and wallets, WANT Les Essentiels has expanded its footwear to eight styles, introducing loafers, sandals and plimsolls alongside favorites such as the Lennon sneaker and Montoro derby return.

Look for the WANT Les Essentiels 2016 spring/summer collection to become available online and in-stores in the coming weeks.
