A First Look at Amazon's Sci-Fi Satire 'Creative Control'
“A story about virtually everything.”
With Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq set to debut on the site later this week, Amazon Studios and Magnolia Pictures have released a brand new full-length trailer for their latest production: Creative Control. Originally premiered at SXSW last year to critical acclaim, the darkly funny satire takes on the realm of present-day tech culture and revolves around the fictional Augmenta: a set of “life-changing” augmented reality glasses. Billed as “a magical layer” that exists on top of reality, Augmenta ultimately serves to “alienate the protagonist from the rest of his life” thanks to the anxiety associated with adopting the technology.
Directed by Benjamin Dickinson, Creative Control will hit theaters March 11.
