Three years after dropping his debut studio album Thee Way Eye See It, Pro Era emcee CJ Fly returns with the anticipated follow-up effort. FLYTRAP features 14 new tracks from the NYC rapper, with contributions coming in from Eryn Allen Kane and Devontee. On a day that offers hip-hop heads a sea of quality new releases, CJ Fly’s latest full-length certainly stands at the top of the pack. For those familiar with the Pro Era mission statement, you should know what to expect: hard, purist-friendly beats and bars.
