Kanye West Also Received an Autographed 'TIME' Magazine From Donald Trump During Their Meet
Including a handwritten message that’s further proof of the duo’s friendship.
There’s no question that Kanye West’s meeting with Donald Trump caused a bit of a stir. We already know that Kanye wants a “direct line of communication” with the President-elect, especially if “we truly want change.” There’s also other theories going on around that the event was the first of many moves for Kanye’s bid for presidency in 2020. But what’s most important about their face-to-face was bringing the topics of multicultural issues to light, as well as “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago,” as West tweeted.
In addition to all of this, Kanye West also received a Trump-autographed copy of the TIME magazine issue with the President-elect on the cover as “Person of the Year.” Mr. Trump also left the message, “To Kanye, you are a great friend.” It will be interesting to see how this “friendship” will work in the years to come. Some consider it a bad move for West’s popularity, but others feel it’s a worthwhile attempt in the right direction to possibly resolve some of America’s most pressing concerns.
