Created by Ryo Kashiwazaki as a step away from generic fashion trends, experimental Japanese label Hender Scheme has made a name for itself with its vegetable-tanned leather shoes and accessories that are made by hand to make each piece unique. This time around, the Japanese imprint unveils a diffuser, doorknob tag, cap and two collaborations. Ace Hotel’s Atelier Ace collaborated with the leather specialist label to create an exclusive handmade slipper, which features grey suede and an unfinished natural leather sole. The collaboration with Japanese furniture brand karimoku aimed to harmonize the surfaces of leather and wood. The chair and sabot sandals are designed to uphold the natural characteristics of the materials used, so that the items can become unique through use and aging. All products exhibit Hender Scheme’s signature handmade quality and are available at select stockists.
