For the Fall/Winter 2016 season, 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi has teamed up with director Eloi Colom to produce a gripping short film campaign for the brand’s new line. Titled “World Army,” the visual echoes the artistic direction of the collection, combining references from the military world and ancient Japanese Boro technique to showcase the new 11BYBBS range’s textures, techniques, fabrics and patterns. 11BYBBS experiments with graphical applications and techniques with a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail. With the aim to unite cultures and form a universal identity, 11BYBBS deconstructed and juxtaposed camouflage designs from around the world to create its own camo print that is materialized through screen printing, embroidery and patches applied in applique. Referencing ancient Japanese Boro and traditional Japanese graphics, a series of bold symbols representing strength as well as simple running-stitch embroideries reminiscent of Sashiko are communicated through the wide variety of fabrics and silhouettes.
