Vans & Brooks Reunite for a Celebratory Anniversary Collection
Taka Hayashi helps Vans and Brooks celebrate their 50th and 150th anniversaries, respectively.
2016 marks major milestones for both Vans and Brooks as the California-based skate imprint and the British bicycle saddle manufacturer celebrate their 50th and 150th anniversaries, respectively. So, it’s only right that the old collaborative partners reunite for a celebratory capsule collection to mark the shared importance of the year at hand. Appearing under Vans’ premium Vault imprint, the range features OG LX renditions of both the Sk8-Hi and the Classic Slip-On — both of which come crafted in Brooks leather and decorated with laser-etched artwork from Taka Hayashi. Coinciding with the kicks is a matching Hayashi-etched Swift Saddle, as well as a limited-edition take on the Barbican Shoulder Bag.
