You may have heard: Ray Allen announced his retirement yesterday with a special letter to his 13-year-old self. The 10-time All-Star will surely go down as one of basketball’s greatest and purest shooters. He even earned praise from today’s sharpshooter, Stephen Curry, who told ESPN’s Chris Haynes “To me, he’s the greatest shooter ever because of his longevity… He did it year-to-year and he got up on his shot. That’s what made him different. He was a special player.”
