Missoni & Converse Create a "Hiker" Edition of the Chuck Taylor All Star '70
Missoni’s knit kicks take a more rugged direction for Fall/Winter 2016.
After celebrating New York Fashion Week with a “Runway” pack of high-tops back in September, Missoni and Converse have joined forces on yet another edition of the Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70. This time around the kicks take a more rugged approach for the Fall/Winter 2016 season than the Italian knitwear company’s usual affair. The result is a “Hiker” edition of the beloved old school basketball kicks. Available in both olive and navy, the design maintains Missoni’s signature zig-zag wool but takes cues from retro hiking boots as a nod to the mountains of Ladakh, “which attracted a number of rebellious spirits in the 1970s.”
Finished with black soles, suede overlays, and extra long laces, the “Hiker” Chucks are set to launch this Friday, November 4, at select retailers and converse.com.
