[gallery columns="3"]Over the weekend, it was reported that A Tribe Called Quest’s final album, We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service was projected to sell around 60,000-70,000 units during its first week. Well, now it appears that number was a bit off. Billboard is now reporting that the album is on course to earn around 120,000 equivalent album units in the week ending November 17. This will, of course, set the album at the very top of the Billboard 200 chart and mark the group’s first No. 1 album since 1996’s hip-hop classic, Beats, Rhymes and Life. It’s quite possible their appearance on Dave Chappelle’s historic SNL show had something to do with it.

Congratulations to Tribe, and in case you haven’t already, stream their new album here.
