A Chinese Skate Legend Puts a Cake-Inspired Spin on the Vans Sk8-Hi
Jeff Han and FLY serve up some sweet kicks.

Long considered the godfather of Chinese skateboarding, Jeff Han and his shop FLY are re-teaming with Vans for the first time since 2014 to serve up one of the sweetest collaborations to drop this fall: a “Ruby Cake” edition of the Sk8-Hi. Taking cues from the traditional cherry-topped vanilla and cream dessert, the design pairs premium white leather with a cream-colored midsole meant to evoke the look of the unfrosted cake. As for the cherry on top, it comes in the form of the tongue branding badge while FLY’s logo comes embossed on the heel. Finally, striped footbeds are joined by matching bakery-style packaging that’s exclusive to FLY’s own in-store launch.
These are available in Shanghai now and expected to make their way to global Vans spots in the weeks ahead.
