As part of GQ‘s upcoming holiday issue of their Style magazine, the menswear publication set up a meeting of the minds between their West Coast cover star, Kendrick Lamar and hip-hop luminary Rick Rubin. The video interview took place at Rubin’s infamous Shangri La Studios in Malibu, California where Bob Dylan once resided in the ’70s and also where Kanye West recorded a majority of Yeezus and TLOP. During their meeting, the hip-hop stars spoke for nearly an hour about a wide range of topics including the power of meditation, Prince’s legacy, life, music and everything in between. It’s full of candid moments to say the least and may very well go down as one of the most in-depth Kendrick interviews ever. Watch above courtesy of GQ Style.
