Mark Wahlberg Stars in Gripping New Film, 'Patriots Day'
Centering upon the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
Widely-known for helming Deepwater Horizon, Battleship and Hancock, director Peter Berg has been working on a true story film titled Patriots Day. The drama centers upon the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 that resulted in numerous deaths alongside hundreds of injuries. Mark Wahlberg steps into the role of a police sergeant named Tommy Saunders who was at the scene when the terrorist attack happened. Saunders then leads a manhunt to find the suspects of the horrible incident. Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor are teaming up to score the film—they previously worked on The Social Network, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl.
