A Mysterious New Daft Punk "ALIVE 2017" Website Has Emerged
Bangalter and de Homem-Christo may be coming to the likes of New York, London, Paris and Tokyo next year.

[gallery columns="3"]Remember those Daft Punk tour rumors that ignited last month (and were subsequently shot down by the French duo’s PR team)? Well now they’re as hot as ever as a brand new “ALIVE 2017” website has emerged, which may or may not confirm that Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are hitting the stage next year.
Recalling the electronic giants’ Alive 1997 and Alive 2007 tours, the website — alive2017.com — simply pairs white “ALIVE” text with a black background. Apparently, however, that’s not all. According to Reddit users, code on the website corresponds to geographic coordinates for cities like New York, London, Paris and Tokyo; could these be some of the stops on the upcoming tour?
Only time will tell if the beloved duo continues its trend of touring once per decade, though the emergence of the website should probably be taken with a grain of salt: those same Reddit users have pointed out that not only does the site share nothing in common, aesthetically, with the sleek daftpunk.com, but it uses entirely different infrastructure than Daft Punk’s main website — sadly, it may be nothing more than a hoax.
