maharishi Enlists Street Art Veteran PART ONE for Its Latest "Graffiti Legend Series"
A limited-edition T-shirt capsule spotlighting the New York City-based artist.
London-based fashion stalwart maharishi is tapping one of New York City’s graffiti icons for its ongoing “Graffiti Legend Series.” Artist PART ONE of the infamous TDS (The Death Squad) street art crew in Harlem has been chosen for the forthcoming range. The borough-bred writer has been spraying subway trains as early as the 1970’s and is recognized as one of graffiti’s pioneers. Limited to just 50 pieces, this new collaborative offering comes swathed with PART ONE’s signature motifs that are aptly emblazoned on a row of electric locomotives. Past collaborations in the series include photographer Henry Chalfant and artists Futura 2000, Sharp, JayOne, and Neckface.
Interested folks must enter a draw at maharishi’s official website. The registration will presumably close this October 21 at 12 p.m. BST.
