New Balance Turns the MRT580 Into a Deconstructed Mid
Best 580s of all-time?

After getting a colette collab and a GORE-TEX construction in honor of its 20-year anniversary, New Balance’s MRT580 has gotten what may be the best makeover it’s seen in the past two decades. Dubbed the MRH580, the brand new design puts a contemporary spin on the rugged retro runner and streamlines things with a laser-cut toe and eyestay that eliminates a major portion of the shoe’s stitching. Aside from that, the full-grain leather construction sees a mid-top bootie of neoprene and mesh added to the mix to give the design a distinct sneakerboot-like aesthetic.
Finished with a scuff-resistant heel counter and the MRT580’s usual ABZORB cushioning, the slick MRH580 Deconstructed Mid is available now from spots like HAVEN in monochromatic olive and black colorways for $170 CAD (approximately $127 USD) per pair.
