Is Kim Kardashian's Social Media to Blame for Her Robbery?
She’s only human.

Just only four short days ago, Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint and robbed by five armed men at the Paris residence she was staying at. The masked men made off with a jewelry box containing valuables worth over €6 million EUR (approximately $6.7 million USD) and Kanye West was forced to reschedule some Saint Pablo Tour dates due to “family concerns.”
In a new development, French police are now blaming her constant flaunting of her wealth on social media as contributing to the robbery. Speaking to CNN, Johanna Primevert, chief spokeswoman for the Paris police department, said, “It was really the celebrity who was targeted, with possessions that had been seen and noticed via social media, and it was these goods that the attackers targeted.” With over 84 million followers on Instagram and another 48 million on Twitter, the reality star has been criticized after the incident for her no-holds-barred approach to social media. Among them, Kim’s former bodyguard Steve Stanulis added, “I saw this happening. It just had to with the way Kim flaunts her riches and her diamonds.”
