Harking back to the frigid winter practices Kevin Durant would experience as a kid in Maryland, his new Nike KD 9 GS “Fire and Ice” sneakers evoke how his hands would be freezing cold and then feel like fire as he washed them in hot water. As a tribute to young athletes, the mismatched pair conjures up these vivid memories and plays against both extremes, as the right side comes in blue to represent ice, and the left in red reflecting fire. These grade school exclusive sneakers will be released on Nov. 11 at Nike and select retailers for $125 USD.
