The German Gymnasium Snaps up the Title of World's Most Beautiful Restaurant
An elegant dining experience.

Since launching late last year, The German Gymnasium in London’s Kings Cross has already won over fans with high-end versions of hearty European cuisine: think grilled sausages, pork knuckles, dumplings and strudels. And now it’s collected the top accolade at the international Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, taking the prize for best overall restaurant. Located in London’s first ever purpose-built gym – a huge red-brick building between Kings Cross and St Pancras stations – the restaurant sits in a vault-like chamber. It’s designed with original fixtures, plush banquettes and a sleek muted palette, making it an impressive dining experience like no other. Let us know in the comments if the German Gymnasium would be in your bucket list of places to eat in the world.
