'Final Fantasy XV' Gets Its Own CG Short Film
An omen.
After a decade of development, Final Fantasy XV is finally coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month. Back in August, Square Enix was forced to push back the game’s release for what is (hopefully) the final time — from September 30 to November 29 — and at least rewarded fans for their patience by releasing a five-episode anime series and full-length CG film in the meantime.
As if that weren’t enough, though, Square Enix is dropping yet another piece of XV goodness, linking up with Digic Pictures — who also helmed Kingsglaive — once again to introduce a gorgeous CG short film. Dubbed “Omen,” the four-and-a-half-minute piece does well to shed a light on the mood and pacing players can expect from the game by showcasing a montage of seemingly disparate events. Here’s to hoping it provides a basis for XV‘s in-game cinematics, too.
Final Fantasy XV is due out — for real, this time — November 29.
