New Trailer for 'Assassin's Creed' Shows Michael Fassbender as a Highly-Trained Killer
Another look at the film interpretation of the popular video game.
The folks at 20th Century Fox are slowly building up excitement for its next blockbuster release. Banking off the success of the popular Ubisoft title Assassin’s Creed, the studio hopes to draw all fans of video games, action films, and sci-fi to the theaters with a live action film interpretation. In the second trailer we get a little bit more footage of how the protagonist Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) has to go through a series grueling physical and mental tests in order to become the “Assassin” he is destined to be. In addition, the teaser also has some high-flying stunts and incredible visuals.
The synopsis of the movie: Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Assassin’s Creed opens in theaters worldwide on December 21.
