Wind Tunnel Dance Competitions Are a Thing of the Future
This takes dance to another stratospheric level.
Dancing on flat ground is already bad enough for many of us with two left feet, but these competitors in the annual Wind Games put even the most skilled dancers to shame. Hosted by the Windoor Realfly wind tunnel facility in the Spanish town of Empuriabrava, the weekend-long competition sees these skydiving aficionados take full advantage of the 3D space of the wind tunnel to perform graceful aerial ballet to music, while an audience watches on from the rafters. Along with the individual freestyle performances, other categories include two and four-person teams that must perform acrobatic routines in the confined tunnel space. Watch one of the competitors above, and find the rest of the performances here.
