Following a behind-the-scenes “special look” released last month of the highly anticipated new season of The X-Files, the first minute of the forthcoming reboot has hit the Internet. Serving mostly as a recap of sorts, special agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) traces back his paranormal obsession to a childhood incident in which his sister mysteriously disappeared. Believing the circumstance was the direct result of an alien abduction, Mulder has since embarked on a zealous mission to uncover the truth. Eventually joined by special agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in the special “X-Files” unit of the FBI, the two have since plunged into the world of the unexplained. You can watch the full video clip above. The X-Files mini-series will premier January 24 on FOX for a special two-night event.
