Virtual reality has come a long way, but we haven’t seen an innovation quite like the teslasuit yet (no relation to Elon Musk’s Tesla, might we add). It is a full body suit, visually similar to a scuba suit, that is comprised of smart textile fabric that can transfer sensations from VR. Paired with a VR headset such as Oculus Rift, the teslasuit allows the wearer to feel a range of sensation for a truly immersive VR experience. The suit uses neuromuscular electrical stimulation, widely used in sports and rehabilitation. Its haptic feedback system delivers precise sensations have definitely has a wide range of applications beyond traditional gaming. For example, in sports, medicine, military, education and much more. It can really open up a whole new door of the virtual world and allow human beings worldwide to be even closer connected to each other.

Head over to its Kickstarter page to learn more, where it’s trying to raise funds for production.
