Snapchat Leak Hints at Audio & Video Calling, Stickers and More
Snap, for longer.

Snapchat looks to be set for a significant upgrade if leaked screenshots of the app’s “ChatV2” design are real. According to a report on TechCrunch, new features such as audio and video calling, and stickers for the chat interface were spotted by developers at Snappreffs in the app’s existing code. This could make Snapchat more competitive with messaging applications like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, while also paving the way for monetization. With purchases like stickers, which have already been proven to be successful in many of the messaging apps popular in Asia, Snapchat could finally start tapping into its in-app commerce potential.
