Rob Dyrdek Is Reportedly No Longer Sponsored by DC Shoes
The end of a 20-year relationship.
Professional skateboarder and reality TV star Rob Dyrdek has reportedly been dropped from DC Shoes’ roster after over 20 years with the brand. The move comes after DC’s parent company, Quiksilver, filed for bankruptcy in late 2015 and amid corporate restructuring at both levels.
Dyrdek was awarded his first pro model with the Company back in 1995 and his swath of MTV shows, including Rob & Big, Ridiculousness, and Fantasy Factory have all but made the rider the de facto spokesperson and public face of the shoe brand. DC are said to be announcing a wave of new signings later this week, but there is no information as to Rob’s plans for the future just yet.
