Raf Simons may have already introduced his final collection for Dior, but that hasn’t stopped the beloved Belgian from continuing to tackle his own eponymous label. Hitting the runway today at Paris Fashion Week, Simons’ Fall/Winter 2016 collection is an apt followup to this season’s range, echoing the voluminous and exaggerated shapes of spring/summer while putting forth clear university inspiration — which will perfectly coincide with the autumnal return to the classroom. Varsity letters and collegiate stripes figure prominently throughout as heavily distressed sweaters (complete with amplified V-necks), cropped (but still slim) trousers and oversized coats juxtapose the Take Ivy-esque styles as Simons offers up his own take on what you might see on campus.
