Raf Simons 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
Treacherous vibes courtesy of Raf Simons.

Raf Simons has presented his eponymous label’s 2016 spring/summer line at the onset of Paris Fashion Week. The relatively balanced collection offers a vast selection of elongated silhouettes, coupled with shrunken shapes – an unorthodox approach to menswear, which has always been a respected aspect of Simons’ identity as a designer. Tops such as layered coats and sweaters have been dotted with arrow emblems or perforations, effectively drawing utmost attention when observing the color clash between the patterns and the solid pieces. A linear motif can also be perceived through the inclusion of plaid cloth, and the parallel linear pattern prominently featured across tops, and extended along the bottom of oversized trousers. Looks have been completed with scarves masking faces and oversized chains, attached to bags as handles.
