Nike Air Force 1 High Flyknit "University Red"
The new hybrid meet the iconic red and black colorway.
At the tail end of 2015 we saw our first glimpse of Nike‘s new Air Force 1 Flyknit — in both high top and low top versions — that lead us to ask, why didn’t this come out sooner? With the sportswear brand’s signature Flyknit material covering the upper of the popular basketball-turned-lifestyle shoe, this beautifully crafted silhouette is a perfect marriage of two iconic silhouettes whose design seems to have been translated well from paper.
With the model quickly gaining traction within the sneaker community, Nike is releasing the unique hybrid in the classic “University Red” colorway, boosting the high top iteration with a striking red colorway throughout its knitted upper and bold black accents along the shoe’s eyestay, laces, heel collar, and real leather Swoosh and ankle strap. The model retains a clean white sole and an icy blue outsole. This year we’re hoping to see Nike slowly introduce its Flyknit technology to other classic models. Are you a fan of the new AF1s?
