LMC and Import Export Pay Tribute to the 2002 World Cup
A collaboration celebrating co-operation.

The 2002 World Cup is memorable for several reasons, but to name a few: Brazil became the first and only country to win 5 World Cup titles; Japan qualified and competed in their first quarter final, while Korea made it the semi-finals; thirdly and perhaps most crucially, the event marked the only time that hosting duties were split between two nations: Japan and South Korea. The tensions between the two nations at the time were long-standing and ingrained in both national identities, but both were willing to unite their bids and put aside their differences, all for the sake and spectacle of international sport.
Korean brand Liful’s newest imprint, LMC, have teamed up with the elusive Japanese streetwear label Import Export for a capsule collection and lookbook that celebrates the 2002 World Cup’s spirit of international co-operation. The lookbook features the collaboration’s hoodie and dad-cap, as worn on the bustling Japanese streets. The collection will be available in Liful’s flagship store and online at AroundUs.
