If you’re familiar with the works of Danish director Lars von Trier, you’ll know that his films are visceral and unrestrained interpretations of the human condition. In line with his provocative style of avant-garde filmmaking, his 2009 project Antichrist starring Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg, was a cinematic journey rife with explicit scenes of sexuality and self-mutilation. As one can imagine, the three central themes at the core of the film are Pain, Grief and Despair. Drawing inspiration from these motifs, Diemme and Crossover have collaborated on a darkly luxurious footwear offering. Showcasing snakeskin throughout the upper, the references towards sin are clear and perfectly complement the overarching concept.
