The latest in adidas’s marketing push behind its novel laceless ACE 16+ PureControl soccer boot is the “Boss Everyone” campaign, which adopts a glitchy, video game aesthetic previously experimented with here, to add a tongue-in-cheek element to the pursuit of excellence. Featuring the likes of Mesut Özil, Oscar, Dele Alli and Ivan Rakitić in the new boot, the players engage in games of oneupmanship, knocking drones out of the sky and stopping balls mid-flight.
