KITH x Highsnobiety x PUMA "A Tale of Two Cities" Pack
Ronnie Fieg and PUMA help Highsnobiety celebrate its 10-year anniversary.
2015 marks Highsnobiety’s 10-year anniversary and, to celebrate the occasion, the site has tapped KITH and PUMA for a commemorative release. Inspired by their respective roots in New York City and Berlin, the aptly named “A Tale of Two Cities” pack sees KITH founder Ronnie Fieg reworking both the Blaze of Glory and R698. Updated with co-branded forefoot straps, the USA-themed Blaze of Glory comes decked out in navy, red, and white, coupling a quilted upper with red accents, a speckled Trinomic midsole and asymmetrical stars-and-stripes debossed patterns beneath the tonal lacing. The German-inspired R698, on the other hand, sports a deconstructed upper of quilted black nubuck and ditches the silhouette’s usual tongue in favor of a mesh and neoprene bootie. Bright pops of red accentuate both the midsole and outsole while a moto-deboss pattern along the heel pays homage to the design’s sleek appearance. Finally, 3M German flag inserts appear on the medial form stripes, as well as the co-branded tongue patches.
Packaged inside custom boxes that double as standing magazine holders and complete with custom co-branded insoles, the kicks will be available for $160 USD per pair beginning this Friday, September 25 at KITH Manhattan (644 Broadway), KITH Brooklyn (233 Flatbush Ave), Soto Berlin (Torstraße 72) and online at KithNYC.com.
