UNDERCOVER x Carhartt WIP 2015 Fall/Winter Collection
Jun Takahashi combines his contemporary aesthetic with Carhartt’s iconic workwear.
Beloved Japanese brand UNDERCOVER and iconic American workwear brand Carhartt’s WIP imprint may not seem to be the most likely of collaborators, but, nonetheless, the two have come together to craft a small capsule collection for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2015 season. Fusing Carhartt’s more rugged approach with designer Jun Takahashi’s decidedly more contemporary aesthetic, the range adopts a monochromatic palette of black and blue and includes co-branded hoodies alongside a pair of heavy duty trousers and two different coats — one customized overcoat and one of the more utilitarian variety. Takahashi’s technical take on Carhartt’s classic pieces can be found now from Parisian boutique colette.
