Ralph Lauren Automotive Skeleton Watch
Inspired by Ralph Lauren’s own 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe, this is a masterclass in luxury.
Released as part of its 2015 Ralph Lauren Automotive collection is the Automotive Skeleton model — the brand’s first open-worked timepiece. The watch takes inspiration from Ralph Lauren’s own 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe, with the amboyna burl wood bezels, elm burl wood dials and black alligator straps reflecting the rich car interior, and the Arabic numerals inspired by the car’s iconic gauges. Encased by a shot-blasted, gunmetal steel 44.8mm case, the watch is powered by a custom IWC hand-wound caliber RL1967 running at 18,000 vibrations per hour, alongside a 45-hour power reserve.
