Nike Kobe X Elite Low "Drill Sergeant"
Nike encapsulates Kobe’s on-court leadership with a new colorway.
Kobe’s game has always spoken volumes, but it wasn’t always non-verbal. Early in his career, the basketball savant was known for exclaiming on-court verbal motivation to his teammates – some of which wasn’t always well-received. NBA veterans famously pulled Kobe aside to make him cognizant of his role as a leader – not a “drill sergeant.” In honor of this transition, Nike Basketball has cheekily outfitted the Kobe X Elite silhouette with a combination of teal and black through the Flyknit upper, with hits of bold orange accenting the lace loops and side Swoosh. The sneaker is set off with a speckled black and orange midsole and wrapped tightly in an ice blue outsole. Pick up this iteration of the Kobe X Elite at select retailers beginning August 12.
